Synergenz BioScience Ltd was formed in 2004 to commercialize discoveries about lung disease susceptibility first made by Dr. Robert P Young in research conducted at the University of Auckland in New Zealand. The Company licenses its core intellectual property and related marketing services in key markets around the world. The Company was originally spun off from Auckland University and backed by the Hong Kong-based Pacific Group Ltd. and its investment partners. Synergenz's research program continues in New Zealand and in collaboration with leading investigators, licensees and commercial partners around the world. Synergenz BioScience, Inc., located in Evanston, Illinois has been established to provide marketing services.
